This Glossy Ibis was reported sighted for about the last week at Pt. Mouillee SGA in Monroe Co., MI. Though it was only 7 am when I refound it I was still able to get some digiscoped images from 150' away before it flew to deeper parts of the Humphries Unit. This is the first Glossy Ibis seen at Pt. Mouillee after several pairs of White-faced Ibis and GlossyXWhite-faced Ibis hybrids had been reported the last several years. A rare bird report was submitted to the Michigan Bird Record Committee.
